For it’s ironic and profound approach to historical time, nostalgia, simulation and not at least, for it’s witty apprehension to the transfiguration of art and narrativity in the density of mediaconvergence. Bowman’s film are made in a manner of Bruce Conner’s and the Bay Area greatest cinematic works with it’s apocalyptic-epilogical overtone, startling humour and witty insights to the present. Now, this – and a whole tradition, the whole history – is the material of Bowman’s film, it could be said one section of a closed museum that is already lively only as remembrance.

Pour son approche ironique et profonde du temps historique, de la nostalgie, de la simulation et, surtout, pour son appréhension spirituelle de la transfiguration de l’art et de la narrativité dans la densité de la convergence médiatique. Les films de Bowman adhèrent à la manière de Bruce Conner et des plus grandes œuvres cinématographiques de la Bay Area, avec leur connotation apocalyptique et épilogique, leur humour saisissant et leurs aperçus spirituels du présent. Cela – et cette tradition, cette l’histoire – constitue le matériau du film de Bowman. On pourrait dire qu’il s’agit d’une section d’un musée fermé qui n’est déjà vivant qu’en tant que souvenir.
