Les aventures absurdes de trois citadins de la même petite ville en bord de mer s’envolent par une libre animation. La première mène une vie tranquille avec son compagnon poilu jusqu’à ce que leur idylle soit interrompue lorsque, pour des raisons inconnues, elle commence à ressentir une inquiétude particulière au sujet de son propre pied. Quant à G*, il travaille à la télévision et subit un crachat lors de son interview avec un troupeau de poneys dodus. Cependant l’Homme sans visage censé tout contrôler, lui – pour ne rien arranger – agit probablement de connivence avec les poneys. Sans projet moralisateur, Crumbs of Life explore la métaphore des conséquences émotionnelles dans la lutte contre les peurs, dans la crise d’identité comme dans la confrontation avec ses propres imperfections, parfois accablante.

Absurd adventures of three people inhabitating the same small town by the sea. One lives a quiet life with her hairy partner; the idyll is interrupted when, for unknown reasons, she starts feeling a peculiar anxiety about her own foot. G., who works on television, during his interview with a flock of plump ponies, is cursed by being spat on. Everything seems to be controlled by Faceless Man, who – to make matters worse – is probably acting in collusion with ponies. Crumbs of Life is universal – it could potentially happen to anyone. For the author, it is an emotional story about struggling with fears, identity crisis and confronting their own imperfections, which can sometimes be overwhelming. However, she avoids moralizing and encourages the viewer to find their own meaning in it (or at least have a good time). The film was made in the technique of analog cut-out animation.
