Kingdom Plantae, fiction spéculative, imagine un avenir dans lequel l’humanité a disparu après avoir irréversiblement perturbé l’équilibre de la Terre. La nature, changée par l’anthropisation et contaminée par la technologie, vit sous une forme hybride : des écosystèmes reconstruits à partir de données et de pixels, des plantes luminescentes réduites à des simulacres, maintenues en vie par un générateur sur une plateforme naturelle/artificielle.
Née d’une collaboration entre les humains et l’intelligence artificielle, le film remet en question les perceptions anthropocentriques de la réalité et bouleverse les classifications biologiques traditionnelles, offrant une vision fluide de la biodiversité menacée. Au-delà de la dystopie, la vidéo devient un poème visuel où la nature et la technologie s’entremêlent dans un cycle de mutation et de régénération. Citron et Lunardi combinent écriture numérique, sons artificiels et fragments fossilisés pour créer des paysages suspendus entre le passé et le futur, évoquant un monde post-humain en constante évolution.

Kingdom Plantae is a work of speculative fiction envisioning a future in which humanity has vanished after irreversibly disrupting Earth’s balance. Nature, marked by anthropization and contaminated by technology, re-emerges in a hybrid form: ecosystems reconstructed through data and pixels, luminescent plants reduced to simulacra, kept alive by a generator on a natural/artificial platform.
