Through my video practice, I aim to raise awareness about urgent ecological spaces, artificial intelligence provokes a sense of immediacy, and inspire a profound reconnection with nature.
Video, as a medium, enables me to craft anecumenic spaces—dehumanized landscapes that reflect political and social tensions. It captures the complexity and fragility of our environment in ways words alone cannot express. I harness the power of experimental video language to immerse viewers in layered narratives that explore the intricate interdependence between humanity, the environment, and all forms of life.
In my creative process, I often weave together forgotten yet familiar footage of untouched urban cores, delicate ecosystems, and the diverse life forms that inhabit them. These are juxtaposed with imagery revealing the imprint of human activity—buildings, infrastructure, strategic zones, and the visible scars of climate change. Through this interplay, I confront viewers with the consequences of our collective actions, while also shining a light on the immense potential for regeneration and positive change.
My video works are not mere illustrations; they demand more from both the medium and the screen. I strive to push the boundaries of video form, inviting the audience to bridge the gap between art and advocacy. By embarking on this journey of exploration and understanding, I hope to encourage viewers to discover new logics and sensations—ultimately sparking transformation. »
« Mon travail d’artiste vidéo navigue dans les intersections délicates entre le monde urbain et le monde naturel, s’efforçant de défier les limites de ces relations complexes. Je cherche, en effet, à sensibiliser aux espaces écologiques urgents,alors que l’intelligence artificielle provoque un sentiment d’immédiateté et inspire une profonde reconnexion avec la nature.
La vidéo, en tant que médiium crée des espaces anœcuméniques – des paysages déshumanisés, reflèt des tensions politiques et sociales. Elle capture la complexité et la fragilité de notre environnement d’une manière différente des mots, l’expérimental immerge dans des récits à plusieurs strates qui explorent l’interdépendance complexe entre l’humanité, l’environnement et toutes les formes de vie.
Je tisse souvent ensemble des images oubliées mais familières de noyaux urbains intacts, d’écosystèmes délicats et des diverses formes de vie qui les habitent. Ceux-ci sont juxtaposés en images portant l’empreinte de l’activité humaine – bâtiments, infrastructures, zones stratégiques mais aussi cicatrices visibles du changement climatique. Par cette interaction, je confronte les spectateurs aux conséquences de nos actions collectives, sans négliger l’immense potentiel de régénération et de changement positif.
Mes films dépassent la simple illustration ; ils exigent davantage du médium et de l’écran alors que je travaille à repousser les limites du médium vidéo, en invitant combler le fossé entre l’art et la défense des droits. En me lançant dans ce voyage d’exploration et de compréhension, j’espère encourager vers de nouvelles logiques et sensations et susciter une transformation. »
