Surrounded by Colors We Could No Longer See
This experimental short film is a flowing dreamscape of fragments, images, and afterimages – a terrain of memory as corporeal as it is optical. This diaristic personal film passages through spaces of the filmmaker’s family history, where the desert becomes a collection zone for scattered pieces. The film is intended to evoke and embody memory, with a mirror-like and branching effect; there is the film the audience shares collectively, the film they see, and also there is a “second film” that rises up inside each viewer that is absolutely personal and intimate.
